The meeting on the Immersive Surgical Education project took place in Kaunas, Lithuania, on March 13-14, 2025, hosted by KTU Faculty of Informatics. The meeting was aimed at reviewing the progress of various work packages (WPs) within the project, focused on enhancing surgical training using Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Haptics. The meeting began on March 13th with registration and a welcome coffee, followed by presentations of the work packages from various institutions. WP1 was presented by UiA, WP2 by LUHS, WP3 by KTU, WP4 by US, and WP5 was presented again by UiA. After lunch, KTU showcased educational resources created through the VRALB initiative, and there was a session on preparing for the upcoming mid-term report by UiA. The day concluded with a visit to the Čiurlionis Museum, where attendees watched the VR movie “Angel Trails,” followed by a social dinner. On March 14th, the meeting resumed with an overview of management activities and a discussion on communication and dissemination strategies, led by UiA. The final session of the meeting involved planning for the next steps, and participants provided feedback before concluding the event. The meeting served as a key platform for partners to align on progress, plan next actions, and foster collaboration in immersive surgical education.
